Tiny Dancer {One Month}

Evie is one month old!

I can seriously hardly believe it. Sometimes it feels like she's been with us forever, and sometimes I can still barely believe she's here. :)

Hasn't she grown?? :)

I just love those cheeks and that double chin!

We had a big day today- it was finally nice outside (near 70*!), so we went to Utica Square to walk around, visit Aunt Morgan, and meet dad for lunch. It was very nice to get out of the house for a bit and walk around! We've been getting some cabin fever lately..

I just love this little girl so much. Fussy-britches and all!

Woops- gotta go- dad is calling for me. Sounds like someone got peed on!

Santa Baby

Merry Christmas Eve!!

After much deliberation, we decided to go ahead and take Evie to see Santa! I wasn't sure at first- with the lines, the GERMS, and all the people, but I'm really glad we did. Our first attempt to meet up with some friends at Bass Pro (across town) didn't happen. The wait was nearly 2 hours. So we hit up the mall first thing yesterday morning and only waited a few minutes.

This is how we roll at the mall. Sling-style.

Tiny Dancer {2 Weeks Old}

It dawned on me the other day that I might want to do monthly pictures of Evie in a certain spot to see how she grows..

So yesterday was her 2 week birthday and we did a few shots in the rocker in her room.

She was not amused.

Christmas Card 2010

I think it goes without saying that our holiday card will be going out a little bit late this year. I've been working on them all day today, in fact. It's tricky tricky stuff to get a good photo when your subject matter has the appetite of a sumo wrestler and somehow got the notion that mom is an all you can eat Chinese buffet. Thank goodness we decided to leave hubby and I out of the pic this year.. I don't even want to think about trying to get all three of us looking good and un-hungry at once.

But we're working with what we got.

Due Date

Today, December 7, is Evie's official Due Date.

Obviously, my little girl is very advanced and is already here. :) A full week old, in fact! I really can't believe that we've had her for a whole week...

Hubby mentioned the other night that it feels like we've always had her.. and yet she's so new. I just want to soak up all of this baby newness. I don't really want her to grow, honestly! I want her to stay itty bitty and precious forever..

I wouldn't mind if we worked on our sleep schedule, though.. Evie has her days and nights pretty mixed up and likes to keep mommy up for a good portion of the night. And by good portion I mean all night. Last night she simply did not want to be put down. Dustin asked what was wrong at one point and I said she just wants to be held. He replied, "hmm.. well we know where she gets that." (I request to be "held" all the time. Physical Touch is high up there in the Love Languages rankings at our house). And who am I to deny this sweet little thing if she just wants her mom to hold her?

But overall, life is very, very good right now.

I could not feel more love for one teeny babe if I tried.
