Giveaway! {Win a Hand Knit Infinity Scarf + Coral Drop Earrings}

Time for my first ever giveaway!

After whipping up this cozy infinity scarf for myself last weekend, I decided someone else should have one as well. So here's your chance to dress up your neck and keep it warm at the same time. Or score the perfect gift for your sister or best friend!

Fashion blogger, I am not. But hubby refused to pose for pics :)

The scarf is thick and warm, and a pretty charcoal grey color. It's 55 inches long, which is perfect for looping it around your neck twice. I love how wide this scarf is, too.

And I also decided to throw in a pair of Lilac Row Coral Drop Earrings!
I have these earrings in black and I love them.

 To enter:

Become a follower of this blog OR follow Lilac Row on Facebook. Or both!
Leave a comment for each entry. The winner will be announced later this week.

Good luck!

White Out

Well, for once the local meteorologists had it right. We did, in fact, wake up to a blizzard
yesterday morning.. and we definitely got the full 14 inches of snow they predicted! Score one for the Weather Girl. Al Gore, however, is losing miserably...

This isn't actually Evie's first snow, but I was too lazy to get a picture of the quick dusting we got a few weeks ago, and besides, this is REAL snow. I mean, you could seriously catch some wind if you tried to sled down a few of the snow drifts around our house.

So like any good mother, I dressed up my baby in a cute little snuggly bear outfit and sent her out into 5 degree weather for a photo opt with dad. I was too disheveled and still in my pajamas to be included. Plus, asking hubby to take a few pictures after asking him to be in a few pics is one favor too many when a camera is involved. I think I chose wisely.

She actually looks like she's loving it!

My dog, on the other hand, was experiencing his worst nightmare. When we first got up yesterday morning, he refused to go out the doggy door, so I literally had to toss him out the back door so that he would use the bathroom. An hour or so later and all puppy dog tracks and yellow snow are covered in another foot of snow. So we knew it would be a challenge to get him to go again. Yeeeaaaaaahhhhh. Not happening. Hubby even shoveled off the back patio and he still refused. Prickly fella. Finally around 7pm last night, after we had just given up, I heard a rustle at the doggie door and saw him poking his nose through to come back inside. He had
gone out! And we didn't even notice!

I also decided that a snow day was a great day to get back into the project swing of things.
So I started knitting a little dress for Evie!

We're looking forward to another snow day today, and are soooo excited that hubby gets to stay home with us again! I just wish Evie was a little bit older so we could go out and make snow angels and go sledding!

Next up: shoveling the driveway while the hubs is on Daddy Duty. ;)

Project Central Station

This weekend has been a busy one at Casa Tiny Dancer! I set up shop at my sewing machine on Saturday and settled in for the long haul.

Here is a peek at a few of the bajillion projects I have in the works right now- in varying states of completion:

Striped Knit Blanket

This has actually been done for a while now! Can't wait to take some pics of our little girl snuggled up on this blanket!

DIY Baby Legs

I scored big time during a lunchtime trip to Target last week. They had a ton of women's knee-high socks for $2 each!
I plan to make them all into baby legs for you know who!

Knit Hats

I'm expecting her to come out with lots of hair, but it will still be cold when she arrives, and little bitty hats are a quick and satisfying project.

Beginners Quilt

This is my very first attempt at sewing a quilt! I'm pretty excited about it and am already dreaming up others I want to do down the line. I have the squares all sewn together, but still need to pick out a fabric for the backing.

Crib Bumper

It doesn't look like much.. yet. I cut out all of the pieces and sewed the piping for the bumper, so progress is being made on her bedding!

Crib Skirt

And finally.
The infamous crib skirt. I'm happy to report that she is DONE!
I'll be sharing pictures of the finished product soon! Let's just say I have been giving myself numerous pats on the back.
Also- this baby better be a girl!!!!

Knitty Dreams

Since our little bundle of joy will be a winter arrival,
I think it's only right that she be decked out in some sweet little hand-made knit outfits. Don't you?

I've already been working on a blanket (a neutral chocolate brown, since I started long before we knew the gender), but I've also got my eye on a few other items I'd like to whip up:

She'll need this immediately, for photo shoots and Christmastime lounging by the fire.

Aren't these stripes adorable? Like a little candy cane. :)

I just love these one-piece numbers. So sweet.
We'll let Daddy be on diaper duty that day.

Look at that little peanut! This is a must-have. Who needs arms?

Can't you just picture her with dark pigtails and sassy little colorful leggings under this sweet dress? I can!!

Isn't everything so much cuter in miniature?? I better get started on all of this!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
