A little shopping on the plaza, lots of food, some adult beverages and zero dirty diapers were on the itinerary.
We didn't think to make dinner reservations Friday night. Duh. So we holed up in an Irish pub and then I hoofed it down to Barnes and Noble for a deck of cards. Spades was the name of the game.
3/4 of us went for a run on Saturday morning. ;) It felt great and was the perfect way to start the day. I thought I would do more shopping, but mainly bought cute stuff for Evie Girl. I did make sure to pick up a little something for Little Miss Martin!!
On Saturday night we went to the Royals game. They're playing the Yankees this weekend, so we knew it would be a good game. So strange to see A. Rod and Derek Jeter down there! Mainly because I only ever see/hear about them in tabloid magazines.. Talking about which celebrity they're dating this week. I'm not hugely into sports (shocker), but I LOVE to get loud at sporting events. Especially with Yankee fans sitting nearby, while they're getting rocked. Great game!
However, the highlight of the game had to be the kids' area, where the guys made a beeline for the pitching mound. They stood in line with all of the preteens and were pretty upset to see a high school kid pitch 95 right before them. :)
I'm sure he would like me to let you know the also threw a 75. :)
We can't wait to bring Evie to a game sometime!
Other highlights of the trip include a trip to the Jazz District, the worst server ever at lunch, Facetime with out baby girl and a pro-marijuana march on the plaza. Very eventful! We had a great time with great friends and can't wait to do it again soon!
But boy am I happy to be home with my sweet girl.
Yay! Sounds like a great weekend! Glad you guys had fun! I want to see what you got at H&M for Sarah!!! :)
